Jen lives and works in Suffolk. She has spent twenty years casting in bronze at Butley Mills Studios where she created twenty remarkable and highly personal bronze heads. Alongside this, she has also experimented with many printmaking techniques at the Sudbourne Park Printmakers Studios at Bothy Yard, Sudbourne. More recently, she has qualified at Level 4 in drawing and watercolour botanical illustration.

She has a BA Hons in Graphic Design and Fine Art. She volunteered and then subsequently became curator of Orford Museum from 2009-2017.

“Drawing has always been an important part of my life, it was and still is a way of exploring, seeing and understanding my surroundings. My work has been driven by a fascination with ‘process’, how you make something – hence the different techniques I have learnt over the last twenty-six years.

Family, the natural world and landscape have often been the subject matter of much of my artwork, as well as the influences of the Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas, an MA completed in 2009 at the Sainsbury Centre in Norwich”.

Currently she is the lead artist for Edge Land, a multi-disciplinary art project about the Suffolk landscape, recording man-made and natural change over the next two years (2026 and 2027). Its area of interest is from Lowestoft down to Felixstowe, and from the A12 out to sea. Instagram: edge__land
